Designing a Week That Protects Your Family

I don’t want a perfectly optimised life.

I want protected Saturdays and Sundays.

Time blocking isn’t about squeezing more in. It’s about preventing everything from spilling everywhere.

Here’s what I’m learning:

Instead of blocking every hour, block themes.

  • Monday = Reset
  • Tuesday = Get work done
  • Wednesday = Parents / Home
  • Thursday = Renovation / Me
  • Friday = Clear / Reno
  • Saturday = Exercise & activity
  • Sunday = Food & Sync

When each day has a theme, decisions shrink.

It’s not rigid. It’s directional.

The biggest rule:

Weekends are family-first. Not “catch up on everything we didn’t do.”

Because if weekdays are full, weekends are sacred.

Time blocking isn’t about productivity.

It’s about protection.

To be present. To be gentle. To be together.
